Aqidah 108

Allah SWT is the Creator of all that is good and all that is evil. Both are created by Allah SWT.

It is important to understand and believe that Allah prefers the good over the evil.

Darkness and light, cleanliness and filth, angels and devils, pious and impious - all are Allah's creations.

Allah prefers the pious (good) over the impious (bad). There is a very fine line of difference between (having a) choice and (Divine) pleasure/will, to which Allah has guided the Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama'ah to their correct stance of belief. All the other sects have not recognised this difference and they have been led into deviation.

Fate is not something fully comprehendable by Insaan. For the sake of living life on this earth it is enough to believe that -

whatever was supposed to hit you, was not supposed to miss you; and whatever was supposed to miss you was not supposed to hit you.

A Muslim who was his/her heart equipped with this belief will have the heart always at ease and calm. And at the same time will try his/her best in achieving whatever is good, for the pleasure of Allah. Whether one achieves or does not achieve - that is the choice of Allah. The important thing is that we understand what is good in the eyes of Allah SWT, and try our best in achieving that which is good. After that, the heart should rest in peace as the outcome is up to Allah's decision in fate.
