Step-Mother / Step-Child Relationship

According to Shari'ah, an adoptive mother will be a foster mother if she suckled the child within two years of childhood.

If she did not suckle the child within that period, in principle, they will be Ghayr Mahaarim to one another i.e. Non-Muhrims.
