Recreational & Sports Centre For Women

As a fundamental rule, as long as there are no apparent violations of Shari'ah in the procedure of providing a recreational / sports centre for women - then such provisions will be Mubah (permissible).

The responsible persons in charge of the concept design, administration and supervision of the facility must ensure strict implementation of the following rule:

Males will not be allowed in the vicinity of the facility and effort must be made to avoid the visibility of females using the centre.

Intermingling between Muslim females and Non-Muslim females will not be allowed. Any clothes which leaves the private portions of the body uncovered e.g. chest, legs must not be allowed. Care must be taken since the garments will be soaked with sweat and that may stick to the body.

Females using the facility must be advised to avoid revealing their bodies to the best of their abilities. Using dark colours for garments will help in achieving this.

It is also important that a female, who is conscious of the laws of Hijab and proper code of conduct be appointed to strictly supervise the use of the facility.
