For everyone's benefit, amal & record InshaAllah:
There are Arabic terms which express feelings of happiness / sorrow. The following are used for the following:
1. MashaAllah = to express happiness
2. Alhamdulillah = to express satisfaction
3. Allaahu Akbar = to express surprise
4. A'udzubillah = to express dislike
1. MashaAllah = to express happiness
2. Alhamdulillah = to express satisfaction
3. Allaahu Akbar = to express surprise
4. A'udzubillah = to express dislike
5. Subhanallah = to confirm the beauty/grace/majesty of Allah
Melayu kita memang banyak tak betul - aku jugak lah sekali masa dulu mula-mula berjinak dengan agama. Melayu ni biasanya pakai "MashaAllah" bila benda buruk / terkejut. Tak ke contrast giler?!!
Contoh:
An Arab friend's father dies and one Malay dude in London says: "MashaAllah!" .... habis terkejut lah brader Arab tuh. Ada plak kata - in effect - GOOD. Mau kena belasah teruk. Orang Melayu salah faham. Moga kita belajar, amal dan sebarkan, InshaAllah.
Bila kita tak sure - the safest is use = Subhanallah.
Moga manfaat InshaAllah.
