Saffron Uses

Saffron is an expensive spice used in cooking. It has a fragrant smell and produces strong colouring effects.

Saffron itself is not Haraam.

However, the Saffron colour (yellowish / orangish / reddish) is prohibited for males.

(Note: This colour is similar to the garments used by hindu priests and buddhist monks)

Therefore, men should be very aware when purchasing clothes.
